Our club, which was formed in 1974, has a membership of about 50. Our members live in all regions of Grey and Bruce counties, in the Province of Ontario, Canada. They include top breeders in our area in a wide range of different breeds. Many of our members have their own web sites which you are invited to explore through our links. Our membership is not limited to breeders but also includes many members whose dog is a pet and a loving member of their family.

Breeder or not, we all subscribe to the same set of values. We promote the purebred dog... we encourage responsible dog ownership ... we share information on dog related issues between ourselves and the general public.

The GBKOC is involved in a wide variety of activities including dog handling seminars, health clinics and our big event, the Annual Championship Conformation Dog Show, Obedience and Agility Trials - held following the August holiday weekend - August 5, 6 and 7, 2008 at our usual location in picturesque Harrison Park, Owen Sound.

In 2008 we are hosting 3 Obedience Trials, 3 Rally O Obedience Trials and 3 CKC Agility Trials (pending CKC confirmation).
